Hi!  My name is Donna.  Welcome to my blog; so glad you're here.
And now that you are here, what do you think of the name – Menopause Moi?  A bit pretentious, no?  Certainly a bit Miss Piggy-esque!  It was to be ‘Menopause Me’ but that’s already taken by another lovely lady.  And as it is, Menopause Moi is perhaps more suitable, given my tendency to lapse into French at the drop of a hat, as well as being a bit of a diva myself at times!
Life is a moderately good play with a badly written third act.
-Truman Capote
I love the quote, but hey, this is still only Act II!  I've got so much yet to do, things that I let slip by me earlier.  Hence the overly dramatic (and yes, tongue-in-cheek!) tag line!  As well as this blog, I write fiction.  I recently completed the first draft of a novel that has been in my head for about ten years.  I would like to have it edited, polished and (hopefully) ready for publication within the next decade, certainly sometime before I hit that dodgy Act Three!!
I am a wife, have MS and do volunteer stuff in my 'spare' time.  I am also an avid reader, love taking photos and travelling.  Any or all of these topics, as well as menopause and mid-life, may end up as post fodder here.
So far, menopause has been a bit of a roller coaster ride but, on the whole, has been a much more positive journey than I had been led to believe it would be.  This is my two cents on the up days and down, filtered through my own experiences, dreams, trials, successes and frustrations.
I'm looking to learn as well as share, so I hope that you'll follow along by signing up via e-mail subscription or RSS feed; then feel free to comment and either start or join a conversation.
I'm looking forward to hearing from Menopause Vous!!
